this was hard to watch, having lived through my own intervention.  today, on my 90th day of sobriety(!!!!) im so glad i came across this.  it makes me actually miss rehab.  the safety of it, the constant self-reflection, the absence of everyday rat race pressures….  and im reminded also, of how much i hated it.  the anger of first going.  the frustration of feeling trapped there.  how glorious it felt to have completed the program and graduate.  how awesome music sounded.  how it felt to drive.  little freedoms that i missed.  im glad i watched this today.  what a perfect reminder of the pain i was in, the life i hated, and the new life i have.  its going to be a good fucken day.

I know I’m slow on the fucking uptake on this one, but this episode of Intervention just FUCKING BLEW MY GOD DAMN MIND. Holy shit. It’s my favorite show, but I never even imagined there would be one like this.

Her name is Allison, and in addition to anorexia and self-mutilation, she suffers from a huffing addiction of gargantuan proportions, sucking on dust remover like it’s a baby bottle (she puts away 8 to 10 of them a day). This is Part 1, the rest are on Youtube.

Watch it. Now.

I’m going to have to issue a personal ‘thank you’ to Frangry for getting this very, very special episode of Intervention on my radar. Lately the episodes have been on alcoholic after alcohlic, so I have stopped checking each episode with the vigor I once had. This proves that Intervention hasn’t lost its charm, and that I should be back to my regular viewing schedule. I’ve only watched this first part and haven’t yet had a chance to see the rest on youtube, but I have a feeling that this Allison just may be near my all-time Intervention fave, Cristy’s level.

Thank you, Frangry!

oh.my.god. you can’t make this up. i need to watch the rest!

Tell me why I came home to find this episode fresh in the DVR and a can of computer duster sitting on the coffee table… Ummm!?
